BYD, the world's leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, is investing billions in its first European factory in Szeged, Hungary, set to produce 300,000 vehicles annually. The factory's construction has already begun, with production expected to start in 2025.
BYD aims to employ local workforce and is collaborating with educational institutions in Szeged to enhance local expertise and innovation. A delegation from BYD recently met with Hungarian officials and local education leaders to discuss this initiative.
