Google Cloud Partners with Air France-KLM to Utilize AI for Data Insights

Google Cloud (GOOGL.O) has formed a partnership with Air France-KLM (AIRF.PA) to implement generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology on the airline group's data.

The collaboration focuses on leveraging the data generated by Air France-KLM's 551 operational aircraft and 93 million passengers carried in 2023. This data will be utilized in various areas, including analyzing passenger preferences, travel patterns, and aircraft maintenance predictions.

Google Cloud confirmed that Air France-KLM will maintain full ownership and control of its data. The partnership aims to enhance the understanding of passenger behaviors and improve flight and airport operations. Notably, the time required for predictive maintenance analysis has decreased from hours to minutes.

Matt Renner, President of Global Revenue at Google Cloud, stated, 'Airlines generate massive amounts of data, much of which can be incredibly valuable in helping drive operational insights and build better customer experiences.'
