The nearest airport is located in Olbia.

This complex is one of the most important examples of the Nuragic civilization that flourished in Sardinia during the Bronze Age. In 1997, Su Nuraxi di Barumini was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Su Nuraxi consists of a central tower surrounded by a bastion with four corner towers, as well as a settlement that existed around the nuraghe. Nuraghi are unique megalithic structures widespread in Sardinia during the Bronze Age. Their purpose is not fully understood, but it is believed that they could serve as defensive structures, as well as centers of social and political life.
