He added that DOGE will strengthen over time, becoming a way of life throughout the government. Musk had previously acknowledged his disappointment in a CBS interview regarding the spending bill, which increases the budget deficit instead of reducing it. President Trump downplayed Musk's criticism, stating the need for support and the inability to cut back. This refers to a law that extends tax cuts imposed in 2017, while also increasing spending on defense and immigration policy. The bill, approved by the House of Representatives by a single vote, now goes to the Senate.
