Airspace Closures and Flight Disruptions Following Israeli Attacks on Iran

SEOUL, June 13 - Airlines rerouted and canceled flights early Friday following Israeli attacks on targets in Iran, according to Flightradar24 data. The attacks prompted widespread airspace closures and significant disruptions to air travel.

Israel stated it targeted Iran's nuclear facilities, missile factories, and military commanders. Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport was closed, and Israeli air defenses were on high alert for potential retaliation.

Iranian airspace has been closed, and Iraq also suspended all traffic at its airports. Numerous commercial flights, including those operated by Emirates, Lufthansa, and Air India, were affected, with many flights diverting over Central Asia or Saudi Arabia.

Several flights were diverted or canceled, including those to Dubai. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has already increased risks to commercial aviation. This situation highlights the growing challenges for airlines operating in conflict zones.
