Avangrid's Ohio Solar Project Reaches Commercial Operation

2025, Ohio, USA: Avangrid's Powell Creek Solar project in Putnam County has begun commercial operation.

The solar facility has a capacity of 202 megawatts DC (150 megawatts AC). It is now producing enough electricity to supply approximately 30,000 homes annually.

The project includes over 300,000 solar panels and created around 500 construction jobs. Over its lifetime, the project is estimated to contribute $31 million to local taxing authorities. The project satisfies the energy needs across the country.
