Pony AI Launches IPO Amid Expansion in Autonomous Mobility

Pony AI, an autonomous mobility technology company, is conducting its initial public offering (IPO) today. Based in Silicon Valley with a headquarters in Guangzhou, China, the firm specializes in transforming vehicles into self-driving cars.

Founded in 2016, Pony AI does not manufacture cars; instead, it develops the technology that enables autonomous driving. The company operates a Robotaxi service called PonyPilot, featuring a fleet of autonomous Toyota Sienna vehicles, with plans to incorporate Toyota bz4X SUVs in 2024.

Additionally, Pony AI aims to innovate the logistics sector with its Robotruck service, PonyTron, which utilizes Sany Heavy Trucks. Currently, its Robotaxi fleet is operational in major Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
