Jamal Roberts, the Season 23 winner of American Idol, has achieved remarkable success on the Billboard charts with his winner's single, "Heal." The song debuted at No. 1 on both the Hot Gospel Songs and Gospel Digital Song Sales charts, marking Roberts's first chart-topping positions in the United States.

According to Luminate, "Heal" sold nearly 8,800 copies in its first tracking period, leading to a No. 2 debut on the Digital Song Sales chart, second only to "Don't Say You Love Me" by BTS singer Jin. The track also entered the Gospel Streaming Songs chart at No. 7, securing Roberts's first top 10 placement on that list.

Prior to his American Idol victory on May 18, 2025, Roberts released a gospel track titled "He's Preparing Me." Following the success of "Heal," this older song also gained traction, debuting at No. 4 on the Gospel Digital Song Sales chart. "Heal" is a cover of a song by musician Tom Odell.
