Meghan Markle's Twerking Video Goes Viral, Fuels New Lifestyle Brand and Alcohol Line

Last week, Meghan Markle celebrated daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday with a splash. The Duchess of Sussex shared a never-before-seen photo from Lilibet's birth day. She also released a video of herself twerking in the delivery room alongside Prince Harry.

The impromptu dance party was intended to induce labor, as Meghan was past her due date. The Sussexes welcomed a healthy baby girl later that day. Four years later, the video has gone viral.

The timing of the video's release is strategic, coinciding with the launch of Meghan's lifestyle brand. The positive response to the twerking video has provided welcome free advertising. However, not everyone is pleased with the Duchess's latest move.

Critics in the UK have expressed disapproval, citing a breach of royal etiquette. Meghan, however, is unfazed. "Meghan is very pleased with the video," a source told the Daily Mail. "In the UK everyone's reaction has been a bit prudish but everywhere else, particularly in America and especially with young people, it has been a huge hit."

The insider added that Meghan's team considers the video a 'win,' boosting sales. Her new products are aimed at the American market. "Meghan doesn't care about the haters in Britain calling her vulgar. Americans thought the twerking video was hilarious and relatable."

This 'hilarious and relatable' approach aligns with Meghan's plans to launch her own line of wines and spirits. "The rosé wine is only the first product in what she and Netflix hope will be a substantial alcohol range, which will include ready-made cocktails and luxury items like flower-infused gin," the source revealed.

The new products will also include jams, such as strawberry, and she is exploring lemon curd. Eric Schiffer of Reputation Management Consultants noted that Meghan's audience is young and American. "Meghan wants to connect with Gen Z which demands viral moments," Schiffer said. "She doesn't care about the UK because that's not where the money is. Brits have certain standards they expect of royalty. Americans don't care. To us it's a soap opera."

In essence, Meghan is now focused on her American audience and is unconcerned with the opinions of the British Royal Family.
