Glance, a consumer tech company backed by Google, has introduced Glance AI, a platform built on its proprietary AI models. This platform aims to transform the shopping experience by providing personalized and intuitive interactions.
Available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, Glance AI delivers a visual experience. It is designed to integrate with Android smartphone makers and telecom providers. The initial launch focuses on fashion, with plans to expand into beauty, travel, and accessories.
Users can upload a selfie or image to enter an AI-generated fashion environment tailored in real time. This experience uses diffusion models and personalization engines to map AI-crafted looks to products from over 400 brands. Shoppers can explore, digitally try on, and purchase products while maintaining control over their data.
Glance AI is powered by a three-layered architecture. This includes a Commerce Intelligence Model, a GenAI Experience Model, and a Transaction Journey Model. The platform integrates with tools like Google's Gemini and Imagen on Vertex AI to enhance visual realism and personalization.
The platform is designed for embedding into smartphones, smart TVs, and retail brand ecosystems. Users can shop, save, share, and set personalized looks as wallpapers. Early U.S. trials show that over 1.5 million users have joined, generating more than 40 million style requests.
