A traveling exhibition titled 'The Voice of the Sea' has arrived at the Passeig Sagrera in Palma, Balearic Islands. The exhibition features 32 images of the Balearic seabed that won awards in the fifth edition of the Audiovisual Contest for the Conservation of the Balearic Sea.
The exhibition, organized by MARE, is supported by the Palma City Council and other institutions. The photographs were taken by participants in various categories, including expert adults, amateur adults, young people, protected marine areas, and MARE Popularis.
The winning image, 'At the End of Summer' by Miquel Gomila, was chosen by the public with 3,376 votes. The exhibition aims to highlight the importance of preserving the sea and its biodiversity, including the flora and fauna.
The exhibition will soon move to Calvià, Mahón, the headquarters of the Port Authority in Palma, Port Adriano, and Sant Francesc (Formentera).
