Tiffany Sutton and her sister Sarah Briscombe from Dover, Kent, have transformed into dedicated animal rescuers, embodying the spirit of Dr. Doolittle.
After discovering their passion for animal care, they joined the RSPCA as Animal Rescue Volunteers, responding to emergencies involving injured or abandoned animals.
During the festive season, Tiffany provided crucial care for an abandoned dog left alone when its owner was imprisoned. She visited daily, feeding and comforting the dog through the letterbox until he became accustomed to her presence.
On Christmas Day, she brought him a festive meal and new toys, aiming to bring him joy during a difficult time.
Sarah, who joined the RSPCA three years ago, helped ensure the dog received daily care until he was rescued on December 27. Both sisters find their volunteer work deeply rewarding, stating, “Helping animals is our passion.”
The RSPCA's Join the Christmas Rescue campaign raises vital funds to support their efforts, responding to over 25,000 reports of animal suffering during the holiday season. The charity encourages public donations to provide urgent care and shelter for animals in need.
