Strategy Boosts Bitcoin Holdings with $75 Million Purchase Amid Market Activity

Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR) has increased its Bitcoin holdings by acquiring 705 BTC for approximately $75 million between May 26 and June 1, 2025. The purchase, detailed in an SEC filing on June 2, 2025, occurs during a period of notable market activity.

As the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, Strategy now holds 580,955 BTC, valued at over $60 billion. Since 2020, the company has been strategically accumulating Bitcoin, with the latest purchase averaging $106,495 per BTC.

The acquisition was funded using proceeds from preferred stock offerings, including the 10% Series A Perpetual Strife Preferred Stock (STRF) and the 8% Series A Perpetual Strike Preferred Stock (STRK). Bitcoin was trading around $104,288.99, up 8.5% for the month, according to Kraken's price feed. Michael Saylor anticipates further institutional adoption driving Bitcoin's future growth.
