American Airlines to Offer Free Wi-Fi to Loyalty Members Starting January 2026

American Airlines will provide free Wi-Fi to loyalty program members starting January 2026. The service will be available on 90% of its fleet, surpassing other domestic carriers. This initiative aims to enhance customer experience and loyalty.

AT&T will sponsor the service to offset equipment costs. This partnership will provide complimentary inflight Wi-Fi across more than 2 million American flights a year. The free Wi-Fi will be available to AAdvantage members on aircraft equipped with Viasat and Intelsat high-speed satellite connectivity.

This move follows Delta and United in offering free in-flight internet. Delta Air Lines already offers free Wi-Fi on most domestic flights for SkyMiles members. United Airlines is in the process of rolling out free Starlink satellite internet.
