Apple to Invest $500 Billion in the U.S. and Create 20,000 Jobs, Including New AI Server Facility in Texas

Taipei, Taiwan - Apple announced plans to invest $500 billion in the United States and create 20,000 jobs over the next four years. The investment includes opening a new 250,000-square-foot facility in Houston, Texas, to manufacture AI servers. These servers, produced by Foxconn, will support Apple's expanding data center capacity across North Carolina, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada. This announcement follows a meeting between Apple CEO Tim Cook and President Donald Trump. The move is seen as a calculated trade-off to potentially avoid tariffs on products made overseas, particularly iPhones manufactured in China. While Apple will continue to manufacture most of its products in Asia, this investment marks its largest-ever spend commitment in the U.S., covering manufacturing facilities, data centers, and entertainment productions. The company employs over 150,000 people worldwide.
