Stellantis and Leapmotor Launch EVs in Europe

Stellantis and Leapmotor are establishing a joint venture to introduce electric vehicles (EVs) in Europe, starting with the T03 city car and the C10 mid-size SUV, followed by the newly announced B10 compact SUV.

The B10, designed for global markets, will be officially unveiled at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Stellantis has invested €1.5 billion for a 20% stake in Leapmotor to enhance sales in both China and Europe.

Leapmotor's current lineup includes five models in China, with plans to export the T03, C10, and soon the B10. The C10 is priced between 100,000 to 150,000 Yuan in China (approximately €12,775 to €19,160), but European prices are expected to exceed €20,000.

The B10 is anticipated to be an all-electric vehicle, although a hybrid version with a gasoline range extender may also be available. The model is smaller than the 4.74-meter-long C10.

In Germany, the T03 starts at €18,900, while the C10 begins at €36,400. Through its distribution channels, Leapmotor International aims to establish over 350 sales outlets in Europe by the end of 2024, with plans for local vehicle production and a target of selling 500,000 EVs outside China by 2030.
