Taylor Swift Reportedly Feels 'Used' by Blake Lively Amidst Lawsuit Drama, Skips Super Bowl Party

The friendship between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively appears to be on thin ice, with Swift reportedly feeling "used" by Lively's involvement in a lawsuit against director Justin Baldoni.

Swift, who is known for her close-knit circle of friends, will be attending Super Bowl LIX to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. However, Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, will not be joining her in the luxury suite, marking a significant shift from last year's celebration where they were among Swift's guests.

The tension stems from text messages revealed in Baldoni's countersuit against Lively, where the actress allegedly referred to Swift as one of her "dragons" alongside Reynolds. Sources close to Swift told TMZ she was "royally pissed off" about being characterized this way, especially since she "never had a dog in the fight."

While Swift and Lively's friendship remains intact, Page Six reports that the pop star "can't help but feel used" by the situation and "doesn't appreciate being referred to as one of Blake's dragons."

The drama revolves around a series of lawsuits involving Lively and Baldoni, her director and co-star in "It Ends With Us." Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and a smear campaign, while Baldoni filed a $250 million libel suit against The New York Times and later a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and her publicist for alleged defamation and civil extortion.

Sources revealed to TMZ that Lively allegedly orchestrated a seemingly casual encounter between Swift and Baldoni at her penthouse. Swift reportedly told Baldoni she was excited to see his movie, but later learned that Lively had been name-dropping Swift around town.

While insiders close to Lively maintain that the two friends have "had a good cry and hugged it out," sources with direct knowledge told TMZ that Swift is still keeping her distance. The "Style" singer has reportedly been spending most of her time with Kelce and hasn't been in New York recently, suggesting the distance is more than just geographic.

Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, hasn't ruled out the possibility of deposing Swift as part of the case, which is set to go to trial on March 9, 2026.
