Apple TV+ has announced the addition of Dolly De Leon to the cast of its upcoming darkly comedic thriller series, "Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed." De Leon will portray Detective Sofia Gonzalez, joining Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany, who plays Paula, a newly divorced mother entangled in a web of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer.
The series is created by David J. Rosen, known for "Citadel" and "Hunters," who also serves as the showrunner. David Gordon Green, recognized for "The Righteous Gemstones," is set to direct and executive produce. The production is a collaboration between Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios, with executive producers Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon of Genre Films, and Bard Dorros of Anonymous Content.
De Leon's casting follows her acclaimed performance in "Triangle of Sadness," which earned her nominations for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also appeared in "Nine Perfect Strangers" and is set to join the second season of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" as Lo and Li, the fire-bending twin advisers to Princess Azula.
While the premiere date for "Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed" has not been announced, the series is expected to be available on Apple TV+ in the near future.
