Apple's HomePad: A Smart Wall Tablet for 2025

Apple is reportedly developing a smart wall-mounted display, dubbed the HomePad, set to launch in March 2025. This device aims to integrate smart home controls and video calling functionalities.

The HomePad will feature a six-inch display and voice control capabilities via Siri or Apple Intelligence. A new function called 'App Intens' may allow AI-driven management of smart home applications.

It can be wall-mounted or docked to a speaker, equipped with a camera and sensors to detect user proximity. The device will stream content from security cameras and serve as a control panel for smart home devices like smart locks.

The HomePad will run on a new homeOS, codenamed 'Pebble', based on tvOS, featuring a simplified touch interface incorporating elements from watchOS and iPhone's stand-by mode. This aims to facilitate voice interaction for users.

Additionally, Apple is rumored to be planning other devices, including cameras, a tabletop robot, and potentially entire TV sets, although no release dates have been specified.
