Upcoming Music Releases: Njerae's 'Four Letter Word' EP, 'Kannappa' Film Song, and SM Entertainment's Artist Lineup

Njerae, an Afro-Indie and soul artist, is scheduled to release her EP, 'Four Letter Word,' on Valentine's Day. This release follows her recognition as one of Apple Music's Africa Rising stars for 2025. The EP explores themes of love, lust, obsession, and social interactions, with the single "Beg for it" already peaking at #36 on Apple Music Top 100 Kenya. A music video for "Beg for it" is also slated for release alongside the EP. From the film "Kannappa," the devotional track "Shiva Shiva Shankaraa," composed by Stephen Devassy and featuring vocals by Javed Ali, has been released. The song is expected to be integral to the film's narrative, which tells the story of Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva. The film is scheduled for release on April 25, 2025. SM Entertainment has announced its release schedule for the first half of the year. Aespa will release a new EP, and Riize will release a full-length album. NCT Wish is also set to release an EP. SHINee will release a new single and embark on a world tour, while WayV will release an EP and embark on its first concert tour. Rookie girl group Hearts2Hearts will debut with the single "The Chase" on Feb. 24. Solo artists and unit groups, including Red Velvet's Seulgi and NCT's Ten, will also release new music.
