Vietnam Launches National Campaign Against Human Trafficking

11:13, 31 Juli

Diedit oleh: gaya ❤️ one

Vietnam has initiated a nationwide campaign to combat human trafficking, coinciding with the United Nations' World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. The campaign aims to protect vulnerable populations, particularly women and children, and underscores the country's commitment to human rights and public safety.

The Vietnamese government has enacted comprehensive measures to address human trafficking, including the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking 2024, which emphasizes victim protection and international cooperation. This law, effective July 1, 2025, introduces provisions that prioritize the rights and well-being of victims, aligning with global standards in combating human trafficking.

In the first half of 2025, Vietnamese law enforcement agencies have taken significant actions against human trafficking. They have initiated legal proceedings in numerous cases, reflecting the urgency and coordinated efforts to address this issue. The campaign focuses on prevention, victim protection, and the prosecution of perpetrators, aiming to create a safer and more just society for all.

Education and public awareness are central to the campaign's strategy. By educating the public about the risks and signs of human trafficking, the initiative seeks to empower communities to protect themselves and others. International collaboration is also a key component, with Vietnam working alongside global organizations to share information and coordinate efforts to combat trafficking networks.

Through these concerted efforts, Vietnam demonstrates its determination to tackle human trafficking and build a safer, more equitable society for its citizens.
