China has successfully launched a new group of low Earth orbit satellites, marking the sixth batch in its efforts to establish a global internet constellation. The launch took place on July 30, 2025, at 3:49 p.m. Beijing Time, from the Hainan International Commercial Aerospace Launch Center. The satellites were developed by the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites in Shanghai, part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and were successfully placed into their designated orbit.

This mission was the 586th flight of the Long March rocket family, underscoring China's ongoing commitment to expanding its space capabilities. The Long March 8A carrier rocket, which was used for this launch, is designed for deploying satellites into sun-synchronous orbits and can carry payloads of up to 7 metric tons to an orbit approximately 700 kilometers above Earth. This launch follows the fifth batch of satellites, which were launched on July 27, 2025, from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province, further advancing China's satellite internet network.

The successful deployment of these satellites is a significant step in China's plan to build a global internet constellation, aiming to provide worldwide internet coverage from low Earth orbit. This initiative is part of China's broader strategy to enhance its space infrastructure and global communication capabilities.
