ESA Prepares for 2025 Missions, Including Crucial Earth Observation Launches

The European Space Agency (ESA) is gearing up for an important year ahead, with a press briefing scheduled for January 9, 2025. Director General Josef Aschbacher will outline upcoming missions, including the Biomass project, which aims to provide essential data on forest health and changes.

The briefing will also cover preparations for the ESA Council at Ministerial Level, set for November 2025 in Bremen, Germany. This meeting will be pivotal as ministers responsible for space activities will make decisions regarding future European space programs.

ESA's leadership will discuss new initiatives in scientific research, exploration, Earth observation, connectivity, and navigation for the year 2025, highlighting the innovative technologies and operations that support these missions.

Media representatives wishing to attend must register by January 7, 2025, for either in-person attendance at ESA HQ in Paris or online access via WebEx. Only registered participants will have the opportunity to pose questions during the session.
