Dell Launches AI Program for Telecom Providers

Dell Technologies has launched the Dell AI for Telecom program to simplify AI deployments for communications service providers (CSPs). A recent study revealed that 48% of telecom executives view AI as the most transformative technology in the next five years, though 68% struggle to keep pace with technological advancements.

This initiative, part of the Dell AI Factory, combines Dell's AI expertise, infrastructure, and services with software and silicon from the AI ecosystem. It aims to enhance network performance, improve customer service, and deliver secure on-premises AI solutions.

Dell has expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA to co-create telecom AI solutions, leveraging Dell PowerEdge servers and NVIDIA GPUs. These solutions will improve customer care, automate call center operations, and conduct predictive network maintenance.

Additionally, Dell's PowerEdge XR8000 server, designed for telecom and edge use cases, will facilitate AI deployments at the network edge. CSPs will also be able to offer GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) to enterprise customers, unlocking new revenue opportunities.

In collaboration with network operators, Dell is working to accelerate AI adoption. Notable partnerships include Lintasarta in Indonesia, which is providing GPUaaS for national businesses, and SK Telecom, which is developing an AI chat agent to enhance telecom operations.
