The movie continued its strong performance into its fifth week, adding another 8 million EGP to its total earnings.
"Al Shatr" follows the character of "Adham," portrayed by Amir Karara, on an adventurous and comedic quest to find his friend "Fattouh." Their journey takes them to Turkey, where they encounter "Carmen," a singer whose presence significantly alters their lives, leading them into a series of comedic and suspenseful situations.
Karara expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, stating, "This film was a new experience for me, and it's my first time working with director Ahmed El Gendy, who is a great and distinguished director." He added, "I entrusted myself to director Ahmed El Gendy; he has a great sense of comedy, and this is amplified by the presence of Mostafa Ghareeb and Hana Al Zahid, as well as all the stars."
The film also features Hana Al Zahid, Adel Karam, Mostafa Ghareeb, Ahmed Asssam El Sayed, and a notable supporting cast including Khaled El Sawy. The screenplay was penned by Ahmed El Gendy and Karim Youssef, with Ahmed El Gendy also directing. Synergy served as the producer for the film.
This release marks Amir Karara's return to the big screen after a year-long hiatus, following his film "El Ba'b," which was released during Eid Al Adha in 2023.
