The Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards, a significant indicator of Oscar success, has declared ‘Anora’ as the winner of its 2025 edition.

The film triumphed over nine other nominees, including ‘The Brutalist,’ ‘A Complete Unknown,’ ‘Conclave,’ ‘Dune: Part Two,’ ‘Emilia Perez,’ ‘The True Pain,’ ‘September 5,’ ‘The Substance,’ and ‘Wicked.’

The PGA Awards has a strong track record of aligning with the Oscar’s Best Picture category, with numerous instances of shared nominees and winners. Last year, the PGA Awards and Oscar Best Picture lists were identical, with ‘Oppenheimer’ claiming both awards.

However, there were some discrepancies in this year’s nominations. The Oscars included ‘Nickel Boys’ and the Brazilian film ‘Still Here,’ while excluding ‘The True Pain’ and ‘September 5.’

The Oscar ceremony, the pinnacle of the film awards season, is scheduled for March 2nd in Los Angeles.
