Dubai's Muraba Veil Tower: A New Architectural Marvel Set to Reach 380 Meters by 2028

Dubai is set to add another architectural landmark to its skyline with the construction of the Muraba Veil, a stunning 73-story tower designed by the renowned Spanish firm RCR Arquitectes. The tower will reach approximately 380 meters in height and 22.6 meters in width, featuring 131 luxury apartments ranging from two to five bedrooms.

Scheduled for completion in December 2028, the Muraba Veil will be located alongside a canal near Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai's main transport artery. This project marks the fifth collaboration between Muraba, the UAE-based developer, and RCR Arquitectes, winners of the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 2017.

The design of the building is characterized by a unique 'veil' made of custom stainless steel mesh that reflects the changing hues of the sky. Each apartment is designed to occupy the full width of the building, modeled around traditional Arab houses with an interior courtyard, enhanced by natural shade and vegetation.

In addition to its residential offerings, the tower will include a range of amenities such as a spa, restaurant, gallery, paddle court, and a private cinema. Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectes, emphasized the importance of creating buildings that resonate with their surroundings and the local culture.

As Dubai continues to innovate and expand its architectural horizons, the Muraba Veil will join the ranks of other superlative structures in the city, including the Burj Khalifa, currently the tallest building in the world, and the upcoming Burj Azizi, which is also set to reach 1,200 meters by 2028.
