In a collaborative effort between the Ñacurutú Wildlife Rescue Network and the Provincial Directorate of Fauna and Protected Natural Areas, a Monito del Monte was successfully released in a forested area near Lake Lolog in Neuquén, Argentina. This small marsupial, which is endemic to the Andean-Patagonian forests, is classified as endangered in both Argentina and Chile.

The rescued individual had spent three days under observation and care by local volunteers, ensuring it was in optimal physical condition for reintroduction to its natural habitat. The liberation marked a positive outcome for the rescue operation, highlighting the importance of conservation initiatives to protect native species and preserve biodiversity in the Patagonian region.

Meanwhile, in France, a local farmer, Emmanuel, shared his experience of how planting cover crops has attracted the Montagu's harrier to his fields. This bird of prey, increasingly rare in certain regions, has benefited from the farmer's sustainable practices, which have enhanced the biodiversity of his agricultural land. Emmanuel noted that the presence of these birds not only indicates a healthier ecosystem but also contributes to the overall sustainability of his farming practices.

These events underscore the critical need for global conservation efforts, as the survival of unique species like the Monito del Monte and the Montagu's harrier depends on the preservation of their habitats and the implementation of sustainable agricultural practices.
