Vietnam Develops Standards for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

The Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology has developed 11 national standards for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, including nine standards for charging stations and two for EV battery swapping. These standards align with international benchmarks from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The initiative aims to establish a unified technical framework for EV charging infrastructure, ensuring safety, compatibility, and efficiency across the nation. The Ministry is also working on additional standards related to EV charging equipment, such as charging heads, cables, and energy measurement devices for EV batteries. This comprehensive approach reflects Vietnam's commitment to supporting the growth of the EV market and promoting sustainable transportation solutions.
