Ukraine, the United States, and Russia are preparing for talks aimed at ensuring the safety of shipping in the Black Sea. Ukrainian experts will be present but not in direct talks with Russia. The discussions, facilitated by Saudi Arabia, are slated for Monday and represent a diplomatic effort to de-escalate the conflict. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, during a visit to Norway, outlined the structure of the talks, involving a meeting between Ukraine and the U.S., followed by shuttle diplomacy between the U.S. and Russia. Kyiv is preparing a list of facilities for a potential partial ceasefire brokered by Washington, including energy, rail, and port infrastructure. Zelenskiy also urged EU leaders to approve a 5 billion euro package for artillery purchases for Ukraine and called for continued pressure on Russia. Norway has significantly increased its financial support to Kyiv, allocating funds for artillery ammunition, drone capacity, and investment in Ukraine's industry.
