Hanoi, Vietnam – July 18, 2025: The Hồ Chí Minh National Academy of Politics has proposed a partnership with Google to develop an AI-based training model tailored to Vietnam's public personnel needs. This initiative aims to equip public servants with essential skills for the digital era, focusing on digital transformation, innovation, and the development of high-quality manpower for leadership and management roles.
During a meeting in Hanoi, Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Thắng, Director of the Academy, emphasized the importance of integrating technology into public administration. He highlighted the need for a comprehensive approach where technology becomes integral to public administration across the political system. The collaboration with Google is expected to bridge the gap between technological expertise and management capabilities among public personnel.
In response, Google's Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy for the Emerging Markets, Doron Avnin, expressed support for Vietnam's digital transformation efforts. He shared insights into Google's AI-based training models, which include basic AI literacy for the general population, skills training for public personnel, and specialized training for research and innovation teams. Both parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and AI in the near future. The MoU will provide a legal basis for programs on sci-tech development, innovation, digital transformation, and AI application, as well as training initiatives and digital platforms for learning and organizing thematic workshops.
