Both companies will maintain operational autonomy while exploring innovative business models and synergies. The merger aims to enhance capabilities in space-based cloud applications, AI-driven data processing in orbit, and real-time data exchange services. Previous collaborations include the AI-eXpress mission, which utilized AI and blockchain to improve satellite responsiveness and enable low-latency analytics transmission. D-Orbit acquired 100% of Planetek's shares, integrating Planetek's shareholders into D-Orbit's ownership. Both companies will expand their portfolios to benefit government, security, commercial, and environmental sectors, as well as the broader space community.
