This figure exceeds the combined populations of Spain and the United Kingdom, marking an increase from 120 million the previous year. The data encompasses those displaced by conflict, disaster, and persecution.
Climate-related displacements reached 45.8 million, up from 26.3 million the previous year. A significant portion of those who were forced to leave their homes originate from Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan, and Ukraine.
