Moldova To Establish National Crisis Management Center

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

The Republic of Moldova is set to establish a National Crisis Management Center.

This initiative aims to create an integrated legal framework for preventing, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from crisis situations.

The center will be under the Prime Minister's authority and coordinate crisis management activities at the national level.

A National Crisis Management Commission will also be established as a governmental decision-making body.

The project includes the introduction of a national risk register and the institutionalization of Operational Coordination Centers for crisis management.

It also proposes integrating private institutions, economic operators, and non-governmental organizations into all phases of crisis management.

The National Crisis Management Plan will be developed and implemented, becoming mandatory for all involved entities.

Additionally, the project introduces a state of alert regime, allowing for temporary restrictive measures to prevent or limit the effects of crises.
