Moldova and Lithuania are strengthening their bilateral relations with a focus on Moldova's European integration. This commitment was highlighted during a recent press conference in Chisinau between Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean and his Lithuanian counterpart, Gintautas Paluckas.
Lithuania is actively supporting Moldova through various projects aimed at bolstering agriculture, green energy, security, and institutional development. This includes providing solar panels for public institutions and modern technology for the border police, with investments exceeding 30 million euros.
Bilateral trade has seen significant growth, increasing by over 25% in the past year to nearly $47.5 million. To further enhance economic ties, both countries plan to host a Moldo-Lithuanian Business Forum in Chisinau, designed to facilitate direct collaboration between entrepreneurs. As a symbol of their enduring friendship, Moldova presented Lithuania with a copy of the 1990 resolution recognizing Lithuanian independence.
