China, EU Discuss Semiconductor Cooperation in Beijing Amid Supply Chain Issues

Beijing, China - On May 27, 2025, a china-EU Semiconductor Upstream and Downstream Enterprises Symposium convened in Beijing, underscoring the ongoing collaborative efforts between China and the European Union within the semiconductor industry. The symposium, facilitated by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, brought together representatives from the China Semiconductor Industry Association and the China EU Chamber of Commerce.

Over 40 delegates representing both Chinese and European semiconductor firms engaged in discussions centered on bolstering economic cooperation within the semiconductor sector. Key challenges were addressed, and opportunities for mutual advancement were explored, with emphasis placed on maintaining secure and stable global semiconductor supply chains.

China has reaffirmed its dedication to broadening high-standard opening-up policies and fostering mutually beneficial cooperation between Chinese and European enterprises, while expressing opposition to unilateralism. This joint endeavor seeks to stimulate innovation and ensure the resilience of the semiconductor industry amidst global uncertainties.
