Madrid, Spain, July 9, 2025 — The Health Councilor of Cantabria, César Pascual, presented the preliminary draft of the Digital Health Law, a pioneering initiative in Europe.

This law aims to redefine digital health and protect patients' digital rights, addressing challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence and telemedicine.

Key measures include patient control over their data and the protection of "neuro-rights" to prevent AI from accessing sensitive neurological information.

The law is part of the Cantabria Health Plan 2025-2029, aiming for 90% of primary care appointments to be handled within 24 hours by 2029.

This initiative is a step towards a more efficient healthcare system, ensuring patient rights in the digital age.
