The European Parliament approved a €1.9 billion economic support package for Moldova. The vote, held on Tuesday, saw significant support for the measure, which aims to bolster economic reforms and strengthen ties between Moldova and the European Union. MEP Siegfried Mureșan announced the vote outcome, highlighting the package as the largest support instrument in Moldova's history. The first funds are expected to be allocated starting in April. The package includes €60 million earmarked for the Transnistria region. The pre-financing was increased from 7% to 18%, resulting in an increase of over €200 million, bringing the total pre-financing to over €300 million.
