Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged international actors to show resolve against Russia following a massive attack on Ukraine. The attack, launched by the Russian military on Sunday, May 25, 2025, resulted in at least twelve deaths across the country, including several children.

Zelensky emphasized the need for determination from the United States, Europe, and all those who desire peace worldwide. He stated that increased sanctions would help deter Russia, highlighting the vulnerabilities of the Russian economy. He believes that stopping the war is possible only with the necessary force to pressure Russia.

According to Zelensky, Russia launched 300 drones and nearly 70 missiles of various types. Ukrainian defense forces intercepted 266 drones and 45 missiles. Zelensky condemned the bombings as a deliberate attack against cities, targeting residential buildings and businesses, calling each attack a reason to sanction Russia.
