Maharashtra, India - A bridge collapse at a popular tourist destination in India's Maharashtra state resulted in at least two fatalities and 32 injuries.
A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday afternoon near Pune when a pedestrian bridge built for tourists over the Indrayani River collapsed in the Kundamala area of Dehu, sweeping several people into the river's strong current. Six individuals are currently hospitalized in critical condition.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse and rescue operations are underway.
