China and Indonesia Strengthen Economic Ties with New Agreements

China and Indonesia have agreed to enhance economic cooperation during Premier Li Qiang's visit to Jakarta. The agreements aim to bolster ties between the two nations' economies.

On Sunday, the central banks of China and Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU establishes a framework for bilateral transactions using local currencies. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Premier Li and President Prabowo Subianto.

The two countries will also increase cooperation in tourism and agricultural exports. Furthermore, China Investment Corporation and Danantara Indonesia entered into an investment agreement. Specific details of the investment agreement were not disclosed.
