Federal Reserve Expected to Reduce Rate Cuts to 25 Basis Points in Upcoming Meetings

07:54, 05 October

The Federal Reserve is anticipated to scale back its rate cuts to 25 basis points during its policy meetings in November and December, according to Aichi Amemiya, a senior economist at Nomura Securities International. Amemiya stated in an interview with Bloomberg News that he does not foresee the Fed considering an additional 50 basis-point rate cut at this time.

This announcement follows the release of a solid jobs report for September, indicating a potentially stable economic outlook. The Fed's decisions on interest rates are crucial as they influence global financial markets and economic conditions.

The implications of these rate adjustments could affect borrowing costs worldwide, impacting both consumers and businesses across various sectors.
