SpaceX successfully launched 28 Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit on August 14, 2025, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 8:29 a.m. EDT, marking the 69th orbital launch from Florida in 2025. The launch proceeded under favorable weather conditions, with a 90% chance of suitable weather. The Falcon 9 first stage booster, B1085, completed its 10th flight and successfully landed on the droneship 'Just Read the Instructions' in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff.

This mission contributes to SpaceX's expanding Starlink constellation, bringing the total number of satellites launched in 2025 to 1,762 across 71 Falcon 9 missions. Of these, 40 missions have originated from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The Starlink V2 Mini satellites are designed to enhance SpaceX's global broadband internet network, offering high-speed, low-latency internet to underserved regions. As of July 2025, Starlink reported over 6 million active users across 125 countries, significantly impacting global internet access and bridging the digital divide.
