SpaceX achieved a significant milestone on Saturday, September 6, 2025, with the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The mission successfully deployed 24 Starlink V2 mini satellites into low Earth orbit.

This particular Falcon 9 booster, designated B1075, marked its 20th flight, underscoring the increasing reusability and reliability of SpaceX's launch hardware. Booster B1075 has a notable history, having previously supported 19 missions, including 16 Starlink satellite deployments, a Transporter rideshare mission, and the delivery of 10 satellites for the U.S. Space Development Agency.

The launch occurred at 2:05 p.m. EDT (11:05 a.m. PDT) from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E). Approximately eight minutes and 19 seconds after liftoff, the booster successfully executed a landing on the "Of Course I Still Love You" droneship. This marked the 149th successful landing for this droneship and the 501st overall booster landing for SpaceX on a drone ship.

The 24 Starlink satellites were deployed into low Earth orbit about 53 minutes post-launch, contributing to the expansion of SpaceX's global internet coverage. This mission represents the 112th Falcon 9 launch of 2025, with the company projecting approximately 170 missions for the year. As of August 2025, SpaceX had already deployed over 8,000 Starlink satellites, serving 6 million active users across 130 countries.
