James Webb Space Telescope Reveals Tiny Galaxies That Cleared the Early Universe's Fog

Edited by: Tetiana Martynovska 17

JWST discovered small galaxies crucial for transforming the early universe from a dark, foggy place to a bright one. These tiny galaxies, much smaller than the Milky Way, produced significant ultraviolet light. Their size allowed light to escape, and starbursts generated more UV light. Researchers used JWST to find 83 such galaxies, suggesting they could account for reionization if they released about 25% of their UV light. This supports the small galaxy theory and highlights their impact on universe evolution.
