ESA Astronaut Reserve Undergoes Intensive Training for Future Space Missions

Members of the ESA Astronaut Reserve are currently engaged in a two-month intensive training program at the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) in Cologne, Germany. This initiative is designed to equip the astronaut reserve members with essential skills for upcoming space exploration and scientific research missions.

During this training, participants cover key modules from ESA's basic training curriculum, which is typically designed for career astronauts preparing for various missions. The program encompasses a blend of technical and operational skills, spacecraft systems, initial spacewalk training, and survival exercises in both aquatic and winter environments.
