Am Green and Rotterdam Port Partner for Green Fuel Supply Chain

Edited by: an_lymons vilart

AM Green (India) and the Port of Rotterdam Authority (Netherlands) signed a MoU to establish a green energy supply chain between India and Northwestern Europe. The focus is on bunkering fuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). The agreement was signed to analyze terminal infrastructure development requirements in Rotterdam and along the supply chain. The partnership aims to support strategic port infrastructure development for safe distribution of hydrogen-based fuels. It will link India's Net Zero Industrial Clusters to Europe, enabling exports of up to 1,000,000 tons annually. The envisaged supply chain can enable trade of green fuels up to USD 1 Billion between the two economies. AM Green targets 5,000,000 tons of Green Ammonia production capacity by 2030, equivalent to 1,000,000 tons of Green Hydrogen. The Port of Rotterdam plays a key role as a logistics and hydrogen hub for Europe, handling approximately 13% of Europe's total energy demand.
