Cerulean Winds' Aspen floating wind farm project, situated in the central North Sea, is set to generate over 1,000 jobs and attract £10.9 billion in UK investment throughout its 50-year lifespan. The project is being developed in partnership with NOV, Siemens Energy, Bilfinger, Ocean Installer, and Haventus.

The 1GW Aspen floating wind farm will utilize the Port of Ardersier as its strategic hub, establishing an integrated industrial ecosystem for floating offshore wind (FLOW) in the UK. The Ardersier Energy Transition Facility is expected to be operational by late 2025, enhancing the project's logistical framework.

The £10.9 billion investment includes £5.9 billion for development and construction, and £100 million annually during operations. This is projected to contribute £4.1 billion in Gross Value Added (GVA) to the UK, with £2.8 billion benefiting Scotland. The Aspen site is the first of Cerulean Winds' three planned floating offshore wind farms and will contribute to the UK Government's target of achieving 50GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030.
