Qatar has been recognized as the world leader in mobile broadband speeds, according to Ookla's Speedtest Global Index for April 2025. The country achieved the top ranking due to its exceptional mobile download and upload speeds. This achievement underscores Qatar's commitment to providing fast and secure connectivity services. The Ookla Speedtest Global Index highlighted Qatar's pioneering mobile internet speeds. The median country download speed reached an unparalleled 521.52Mbps, with an upload speed of 34.09Mbps. Sheikh Hamad Abdulla al-Thani, CEO at Vodafone Qatar, emphasized that this milestone reflects the nation's drive to expand infrastructure.
