Samsung is enhancing split screen functionality in One UI 8. The update allows users to push one app to the edge of the screen, keeping it partially visible while focusing on the other. This feature addresses the cramped feeling of traditional split screen on smaller phone screens. Users can drag the split screen bar to the top or bottom edge. This allows one app to occupy nearly the entire screen. Tapping the small visible area quickly flips and expands the apps. This design mirrors a feature already present in OnePlus devices. Samsung's move aims to improve multitasking, drawing inspiration from OnePlus's established multi-tasking interface.
